Kindergarten Native American Day!
In Kindergarten at South O the Kindergarten teachers put together a special day celebrating Native Americans and their traditional ways of life. Layla loved it and I had a fun time participating and helping too.
She chose the Native American name Spring Flower!
Making clay pinch pots out of play-doh! This is the center I ran for most of the day!
Rubbing sticks together to “start a fire”
Hanging out in front of the Tee-Pee Center around the “fire”
Of course there had to be some math mixed into Native American Day! Counting corn cereal to 100!
Speer fishing in the “river”
She caught a big one!
Decorating an “animal hide”with traditional Native American symbols.
Planting corn in little cups!
Enjoying some silly snacks! Buffalo dogs, beans, yams, corn tortilla chips! “Very traditional” Native American foods of course!

Later that afternoon, I took a nap! When I woke up Guy said Todd and Diane had something to tell me… I walked in, half asleep, in my sweatpants and SURPRISE! Guy threw me a surprise party! My dad and Donna were there, Todd and Diane, Courtney and Arden, Valerie… All of my very best and most wonderful family and friends! A very sweet gesture from Guy!
Me and my dad! He is always there, for every celebration!
Being sung happy birthday!
Lots of help blowing out my candles!
